ParkSEIS-X (PSX) - QA/QC

All data-quality related properties, like overall signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), ambient noise, possible acquisition (ACQ) issues (e.g., poor receiver coupling/connection, leakage, channel flip, etc.), are analyzed and graphically displayed in real time. It also provides detailed information about surface wave dispersion characteristics by displaying dispersion image and depth-dependent energy spectra. Ambient passive waves are analyzed on spectral and azimuth characteristics and the program notifies whether they are useful to be included in the survey or harmful to be avoided. Solutions and recommendations are displayed in separate memo boxes as soon as the QA/QC evaluation is complete.

Acquired seismic record (left), dispersion image (center), and energy (right) charts are displayed below right after a SEG-2 file is saved by the seismograph.

Park Seismic LLC

Overall S/N of the current SEG-2 file saved by the seismograph, ambient noise characteristics, and possible acquisition issues are displayed. Warning and recommendation messages are displayed to draw operator’s attention to rectify them or improve data quality as illustrated below.
