The First Training Course for Conventional and Non-Conventional MASW Approaches
Park Seismic LLC will provide a 2-day MASW training course at Seismic Source Company in Ponca City, Oklahoma, birthplace of the Vibroseis seismic source. It will be the first MASW training course that deals with both conventional geophone survey for geotechnical applications and non-conventional microphone survey (SeisMike) for pavement investigations. It will cover theory, applications, data analysis, and field logistics. Field surveys for seismic site characterization (Vs30m) and 2D profiling with land streamer will be demonstrated on site. The microphone survey will also be conducted on pavement using a commercially available system (SeisMike-24). The ParkSEIS-X (PSX) will be used to demonstrate the full-automatic and real-time process that will construct the output results automatically.

Venue Information (Seismic Source Company, Ponca City, OK)
- Airports: Stillwater, OK (about 40 miles away), Wichita, KS (90 miles), Tulsa, OK (100 miles), and Oklahoma City (100 miles)
- Transportation to Ponca City: Most people rent a car at the airport.
- Hotel: Osage Casino Hotel Ponca City (nicer rooms at less money) is most recommended. Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn and Suites are two of the newer hotels.
